Sales, Marketing, and Negotiation Basics
Most people who have to sell would rather not, and the reluctance is audible from the first sentence. The usual training does not help, because it is written for salespeople with a target and a pipeline, not for a founder quoting a price for the first time or an employee who has to persuade a supplier. This lecture treats marketing, selling and negotiating as a single chain rather than separate subjects, from how someone hears about you to how the number gets agreed. Alex Slutsker, a business consultant, spends real time on the moment a client pushes back on price.
The content is matched in advance to your audience and goals on a short fitting call.

Frequently asked questions
Is this relevant for people who are not in a sales role and never will be?
That is the audience it was written for. Anyone who has to get a supplier to agree, a partner to commit or a manager to fund something is negotiating, and most of them were never taught how. Nothing in the session assumes a target or a pipeline.
How do marketing, sales and negotiation actually connect, or is this separate topics stitched together?
They connect through the same conversation. Marketing decides what someone already believes before they speak to you, selling establishes what they need, and negotiation settles the terms. Teaching them apart is why people who market well still lose the deal at the price question.
Does it cover setting and defending a price?
Yes, and it is where most of the room recognises itself. Quoting a number is easy until the other side pauses. The session works on what to say in that pause, and on why discounting immediately teaches a client that the first number was never real.
Do you teach pressure tactics or closing techniques?
No. Pressure works once and costs the relationship afterwards, which matters more when your market is small and people talk to each other. The approach is built on being genuinely useful to the buyer, which closes more of the deals worth having.
Can a room mixing experienced salespeople with complete beginners both get value?
Usually yes, for different reasons. Beginners get a structure where they had only instinct. Experienced sellers tend to find the negotiation and pricing part more useful than the selling part, because that is the piece their own training treated as an afterthought.
Part of the audience is experienced and part is new. Will it work?
Yes. The depth is set in advance on the fitting call, examples are matched to the sector, and the base assumes no prior knowledge. Audience questions give the experienced their room too.
