Frequently asked questions
Is this Agile and Scrum, or something a very small venture can actually run?
The second. Agile was designed for development teams with roles and ceremonies, and most of it collapses when the team is one person plus a freelancer. The ideas underneath still hold, and the session keeps those while dropping the apparatus.
Does it connect to PMP or any certification track?
No. Certification exists to prove competence to an employer, which is not the founder's problem. The session is about getting work out the door this month, and nothing in it requires a credential or leads towards one.
Do participants need software, and does it cost anything?
No purchase is needed. Enterprise tools assume a project office and a licence budget. Whatever someone already uses will carry the method, and people who prefer paper get on fine, because the discipline sits in the decisions rather than the tool.
Is it relevant when I have no employees and work only with freelancers?
That case is central to the session rather than an exception. Contractors are not managed like staff, they are briefed, scoped and checked at agreed points, and getting that handoff right is what stops a founder redoing work they already paid for.
How do you prioritise when everything looks urgent and no manager is deciding?
By making the decision once rather than every morning. The session works on a rule that sorts self-generated work in advance, so the choice is not being renegotiated by whichever email happened to arrive first.
