Business Plan: Building and Writing
A plan built from your own numbers, for a new business, a bank or an investor.
A business plan is the logic of your business on paper: who buys, what they pay, what it costs to deliver and when the money comes in. I build and write it with you from your real numbers, for you, a bank, an investor or a grant committee, and you understand every line of it, so you can present and defend it yourself.

Does This Sound Familiar?
The bank asked for a business plan, and I do not know what they expect to see in it.
I am about to open a business and put my savings into it, and I want to know the numbers hold before I sign anything.
An investor or a partner wants to see a plan, and I have an idea and a spreadsheet, not a plan.
I wrote a plan once, it looked good, and reality went differently.

Anna
Beautician
After I finished a cosmetology course at a leading company, I was confused. I didn't know how to open a business, what to sell from home, or how to bring in clients. Since I reached out to Mobius, everything has changed. We built an organized plan with clear steps and no unnecessary risks. Today I see results, and I'm growing and developing every month.

When I finished a massage course, I imagined a different world. I found out it's a hard field, and financial stability isn't easy to find. When I came to Mobius, something changed. We started an organized process and built a business plan. Without Mobius? I probably would have given up. Today I believe in myself and in my own path.
What you get
Knowing the numbers hold, before you sign
Before your savings go in or a loan is signed, you know whether the business can carry it.
A plan you can present and defend
You understand every line and every number, so you answer the banker's or the investor's questions yourself.
Knowing your own business better
The plan is built with you, not for you, so you come out of it knowing your prices, costs and timing better than before.
Along the way you get the supporting and guiding materials the work needs, with clear instructions.
Simplified illustration
What a business plan is made of
The market and the competition
Who buys, and who else sells to them
The offer
What you sell, and at what price
Marketing and sales
How customers find you and buy
Operations
Suppliers, location, licences
The team
The numbers
Profit and loss, and the cash flow
The risks
And what you will do if they happen
The parts of a business plan, each block sized by roughly how much of the work it takes. The numbers, the profit and loss and the cash flow, take the most, because every other chapter rests on them.
Simplified. A real plan also carries a monthly cash flow with VAT and tax advances on their real dates, a cautious, a base and an optimistic case, and a check that every figure matches across the documents.

What the work can include
You do not need all of it. In the first conversation we choose together the parts your business needs.
- First I check what the plan is for, and whether you need one at all or a short one is enough.
- I set the depth by the reader: a short plan when the decision is yours alone, a full one for a bank, an investor or a grant committee.
- I build the financial model with you from your real prices, costs and timing: sales from quantities and prices, your own salary, profit and loss, and cash flow, with VAT, tax advances and National Insurance on their real dates.
- I test the numbers in a cautious, a base and an optimistic case, find the break even point, where income covers every cost, and show what happens to the cash if sales come slower.
- I write the market, the competition and the risks, with what you will do if they happen, and bring in the research work when facts are missing. Business Intelligence and Market Research
- Before submission I check that every figure matches across the text, the tables and the forms, because a contradiction between documents is one of the reasons a request is turned down.
- For a bank, I put the loan's repayments into the cash flow and read its conditions with you before you sign.
- For an investor, I build with you the presentation that tells the plan's story.
- I write the plan in Hebrew, English or Russian.
- After the plan, I help you turn it into a work plan and carry it out, through the ongoing strategic work. Strategic Consulting and Ongoing Business Guidance
How the work goes
A free first conversation
We talk, see whether my work fits what your business needs, and I suggest the kind of work that suits you.
What the plan is for
Who will read it and what they need to see. Sometimes it turns out no plan is needed at all, sometimes a short one is enough. Then no time goes into chapters nobody will read.
The numbers first, then the text
We build the numbers from your prices, costs and timing, test them against a cautious case and write the plan around them. You go over every assumption, and before submission every figure is checked to match across all the documents.
Working by the plan
Once submitted, the plan becomes the tool the business runs by. If you want, we keep comparing the real numbers with the forecast and update the plan as the business changes, as part of the ongoing work.
Want to see how these steps would look for you? That is what the first conversation is for.

Who does what
What I do
- Bring the structure, the financial model and the writing
- Check what kind of request yours is and how deep the plan must go
- Explain every number, so it is yours to defend
What you do
- Bring what only you know about the business and the customers
- Check every assumption
- Present the plan and run the business by it
If you have an accountant, their reports feed the numbers. If you do not have one yet, the plan can still be built.
What to bring to the first conversation
Bring what you already have, even if it is incomplete. We can start without it too.
Some papers will be needed along the way, and we sort them out together.
Who it fits
- An owner about to open a business who wants to know the numbers hold before putting savings in.
- A business that needs a business plan for a bank loan or a grant application.
- A founder preparing to meet an investor or to bring in a partner.
When is it better to start elsewhere?
If the business is not open yet and you need more than a plan, someone with you through the whole opening.
In that case, start here: Business Launch Support
And the paperwork, for anyone who wants to see that too.
You work directly with me, and I stay your point of contact throughout the work.
Free intro call, no commitment.
- How does it start?
- With a free first conversation of 15 to 30 minutes, by phone or by video. In it we name the problem and shape the work around it. It is not where the answer is handed over. The answer comes out of the work that follows.
- How long before I see results?
- Not from the first meeting, and not from the first few. First we have to understand where the business really stands, so the effort goes only where it works and nothing that already works gets broken. When measurable, steady results come depends on the business and on the pace of the work. After a first conversation I can tell you what to expect in your field.
- How much of my time will it take?
- A meeting of about an hour, as often as the business needs, and a little more at the start while I learn the business. The rest is carrying out the plan, and that is work you would be doing in your business anyway, not time spent in meetings.
- Do my books have to be in order first?
- No. Paperwork is an important tool, but it is not a condition for starting. We begin from where things stand today and put the papers in order along the way, so the work never waits for them.
- What happens to the numbers I show you?
- Whatever you show me about your business stays between the two of us, exactly as it does for every other client of mine.
- What kinds of businesses do you work with?
- I have worked with self-employed professionals, small businesses and startups, in beauty and wellness, the trades, food, retail, manufacturing, education, hi-tech and real estate investment, in Israel and abroad. Your trade matters less than your stage. A bakery and a software company at the same stage are usually stuck on the same thing.
Frequently asked questions
What goes into a business plan?
A short summary, written last, that says what the business sells, to whom and what it needs. Then a description of the business, the market and the competitors, the product or service, marketing and sales, operations (suppliers, location, staff, licences), the financial projections, the funding request, the risks, and an appendix with the evidence: supplier quotes, a lease, permits. How deep each chapter goes depends on who will read the plan. For your own decision a short plan is often enough, a bank or an investor needs the full one.
What does a bank look at in a business plan?
The numbers, before anything else. Whether the forecast is realistic or too optimistic, whether the cash flow shows the loan can be repaid with room to spare, whether every document tells the same story, whether the request is complete, and whether you know the field you work in. A plan that shows profit but not when the cash actually arrives is incomplete, because a profitable business can still run out of cash.
Does every bank loan need a business plan?
No. Some banks approve small, quick credit automatically, from the history of your account, and a plan changes nothing there. A plan matters when people read the request, a banker or a credit committee. Before anything is built, I check which kind of request yours is, so no work goes into a plan nobody will read.
What does an investor look for that a bank does not?
A bank asks whether its money comes back. An investor asks whether the business can grow large enough to be worth a share of it: proof that customers want what you sell, the part of the market you can realistically reach, what the money will be spent on and which milestone it gets you to. The same numbers serve both, told as the answer to a different question.
Do I need documents or an accountant to start?
No. Even if the business is not running yet and you have no accountant, a plan can be built: the numbers are worked out the way they are worked out in your field, from what you know about prices, costs and customers. If the business is already running, its reports and bank statements make the numbers sharper. Some papers will be needed along the way, and we gather them together.
Why not just fill in a ready template?
A template gives you chapter headings. What a banker or an investor weighs is the numbers and the assumptions behind them, and those are yours alone: your prices, your costs, your market, your timing. A plan copied from another business carries that business's assumptions. The plan has to fit the business, not the other way around.
How long does building a business plan take?
It depends on the business, on who will read the plan and on how urgent it is. If you have a date, tell me about it in the first conversation, and the work gets planned around it.
How is this different from business launch support?
A business plan is one piece of work: the plan and the numbers behind it, for a decision, a bank or an investor. Launch support goes with you through the whole opening, from checking the idea to the first customers, and a plan is often one part of it. If you are about to open and are not sure which one you need, that becomes clear in the first conversation.
